Always try to act (verses react) objectively to others’ ideas, even when you do not agree. As a small business owner, corporate executive, or ministry leader, it is important to be objective. Always keep an open mind to new ideas and concepts to grow in your leadership role. Make a real effort to fully explore others suggestions, without giving the impression that you have already made up your mind. When followers feel you have made a decision without their input, they are less likely to share their thoughts and ideas in the future.
Here’s a suggestion to develop trustworthiness by acting objectively: Do not allow your mood to drive your actions towards others. Instead be quick to hear and slow to speak.
