Initiated by Karlyn D. Henderson, M.A., the Women of Color (WOC) in The Leadership Pipeline Series tackles quarterly topics around advancing and accelerating WOC up the Leadership Ladder.
Many Companies have significantly increased support for employees in the past year—from expanding mental health supports, to adding support for parents, to increasing flexible work and paid leave options.
More so, Companies have strengthened their commitments to DEI and racial equity over the past year, but creating a more inclusive culture for women of all identities, specifically WOC, will take deep work and sustained investment.
Our topics for this exclusive, invite-only Executive Roundtable will include addressing Bias in Promotions in the Pipeline to Leadership positions will prove to be a timely discussion. As well as, challenging Companies to make the “ONLY” experience less common which rests on the shoulders of addressing bias in promotions.

This Executive Roundtable will engage Talent Development LEADERS from major industries challenging their Companies to be all-in for the cause of accelerating Women of Color into major Leadership roles within their pipelines. [45 minutes]
Every one will come to the Executive Roundtable with their own experiences. We want to learn from each other and see how we can improve the current state of new and current LEADERS in the pipeline. [15 minutes]

As we move through the Executive Roundtable, we will encounter unique discoveries around how to help make a way for Women of Color to accelerate up the Leadership Pipeline. We will capture key take-aways to make next steps. [15 minutes]
Bias in Promotions
Bias affects all aspects of hiring and promoting workers, and has a deleterious impact on women’s advancement opportunities, particularly for Women of Color, immigrant women, and LGBTQ individuals.
Impact of WOC Leaving
One in four women are downshifting or leaving their organizations all together. Thus, companies lose power of women in leadership. This significant pool of women leaving is causing a unwinding years of progress in gender diversity. How to fully address this issue, companies need to improve the representation of WOC at every level of the Leadership Ladder. How do you recommend adding and advancing women into the Leadership Pipeline will make a difference in your company?
